Code Vein: Dark Souls
You like Dark Souls? Do you like anime-style games? Then
Code Vein is the game you must play!
Since it was first announced, Code Vein has been touted as
the fans as the anime version Dark Souls because of its similar battle system
and has a distinctive visual anime. Of course, the similarity of this battle
system is because both are released by the same publisher: Bandai Namco. Oh,
besides that, there's another equation between Code Vein and Dark Souls: both
have high difficulty levels!
At the Tokyo Game Show 2017 event, in Tokyo Games Show 2017
held in Chiba, Tokyo, Japan this September, Hiroshi Yoshimura and Keita Iizuka
as director and producer of Code Vein have the opportunity to present the game.
At press-conference, both of them explained that Code Vein would not have
difficulty or difficulty choice as it was made to challenge the player's
ability.
Although difficult, but during the play Code Vein, you will
be accompanied by a party of NPC. The two parties you can choose are: Mia
Karnstein, a girl with a bayonet gun and Blood Veil named Stinger; and Yakumo
Shinonome, a man who uses a giant sword and Blood Veil named Hounds. Both will
help you fight while sometimes also will give you healing.
Despite having a challenging level of difficulty, Code Vein
provides some convenience, such as a checkpoint where if you die then you will
return to the nearest checkpoint. In addition, this post-apocalyptic and
vampire themed game also provides a Blood Code feature where you can customize
your character's capabilities and stats to suit a particular situation.
