Finally Image & Form announced that SteamWorld Dig 2
will also be released for PlayStation 4 and PC! This game was originally only
announced to be release for Nintendo Switch only in February 2017 ago. The game
itself will continue the game's SteamWorld Dig mechanism. Not to forget this
game also still carries elements of robotics and the underground world that
always take precedence in the series SteamWorld Dig.
Both games are still similar to the original procedure, so
the main feature of the game that appears again is floating. Using a pickaxe,
players can hit ground boxes or rocks to open the way. Players will trace the
underground world that turns out to be another robotic race hideout!
The player will control an adorable looking robot named
Dorothy. It is a robot driven by a steam engine. Dorothy himself will replace
Rusty, the steam robot who was previously the main protagonist in his first
series.
For those of you who play the first series, of course you
are very familiar with this figure Dorothy. Yep he has also appeared in the
first SteamWord Dig as the shop owner of Tumbleton'Ores and Gems. His
adventures began because he wanted to find his lost friend in the mines. Out of
curiosity, he finally started to go to the underworld. He will not be alone in
adventure, some friends of other robots will also help him in the adventure
later.
During the adventure, players will find many traps that make
the player must be ready to avoid it. Some puzzles you must also finish to open
the next path. Interestingly, some of the available puzzles require some new capabilities
that Dorothy can learn after finding a machine that can give him an upgrade.
Some upgrades that have certainly emerged include making
Dorothy able to run. This skill also affects the high jump he is capable of
achieving. Some puzzles also require the speed of time to complete. For that
reason, this running skill is essential to further dungeon underground. In
addition, some nasty robots and bosses are also ready to wait for you to come.
Ready to beat them all?
